Estepona Golf - Estepona

Estepona Golf is a pay amd play facility offering a round of golf in a magnificent setting on a demanding course. The fairways, however, are wide and the greens are large so the secret is probably not to be too ambitious. The design uses the natural landscape set against the Sierra Bermeja mountains. There are sea views from most holes.

The third, a toboggan-run of a par-5, is a daunting prospect with the green way below and tantalisingly out of reach. A couple of hearty blows should do the trick. The par-4 10th with its high tee offers braver soulds the option of going for the green 250 metres away. It´s all downhill, curving to the left, and there´s water on both sides of the green. Later you come to the par-3 14th where you are expected to thread the needle uphill to a green nearly two hundred metres across a ravine.

Every hole brings a new challenge. The clubhouse overlooks the 18th green and beyond to the Mediterranean. Try the excellent cuisine or buy something in the reasonably priced golf shop. Estepona is one of the Coast´s most popular golf courses.

How to get here: Heading towards Algeciras there is a turnoff to the right at kilometre 150 of the coastal highway, just past Estepona. The golf course is about 2 kilometres form here.
