Islantilla Golf Club - Isla Cristina

This twenty-seven hole course was built to an Enrique Canales in the late 198os and offers the golfer a great variety of holes. The course borders the Atlantic Ocean and Islantilla provides unique opportunities to play golf along the cliff tops. The par-5 14th is a perfect example with the ocean on the right, an undulating fairway on the left and a small green guarded by a lonesome pine. There are also wooded sections of the course surrounded by pine trees.

One of the nines is played over more open terrain with lakes and raised tees. Islantilla has an on-site four star hotel and is the first golf course in Spain to be certified according to the ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:1996 norms (quality and environmental management systems, respectively).

How to get there: From Seville on the A-49 take the exit for Portugal. When you get to Lepe turn to the towards La Antilla and then turn right towards Islantilla.
