Jean's only golf course, La Garza is sited within a municipal park in Linares and is the property of the Andalucian regional government. The 9-hole layout has been rebuilt by well known course architect Pepe Gancedo (Torrequebrada, Monte Mayor, etc…).
The fairways are defined by cork oaks, pines, cypresses and other indigenous trees and bushes. There are trees in the centre of some greens as well as eight of the course's nine fairways. Water comes into play on holes 1, 7, 8 and 9. the original design was traced out 40 years ago and the course was finally built in 1994 when five holes were opened for play.
How to get there: From Linares take the road to Arquillo. After 4 kilometres turn left on the La Carolina / La Fernandina road. Two kilometres futher on there is a turning left indicating La Garza.
